Job description
Role overview
The On-Site Support Specialist works with limited oversight and provides support services at a customer location in Peterborough, Ontario. This is a replacement opening.
Compensation
The pay range for this role is CAD 21.00 to CAD 26.97 per hour.
Key duties
- Deliver a strong customer experience that helps build the account relationship and supports repeat business.
- Serve as a mentor or lead resource for other team members when needed.
- Handle one or more on-site support activities at the customer’s premises, such as ART, vendor-managed inventory (VMI), driving, delivery, crib attendant work, storeroom operations, and customer service.
- Take on additional tasks as assigned.
Education and experience
A high school diploma or GED is typically expected, along with 3 to 5 years of relevant experience, or an equivalent mix of education and experience.
Skills and capabilities
The role calls for strong reliability, solid organization, and close attention to detail. Prior industry experience is needed, and warehouse-based product knowledge is considered an advantage. Good customer service and communication abilities are essential, as is the capacity to manage multiple tasks and use time effectively. Moderate computer skills are required, including information handling, internal and external email communication, use of business systems, and web-based product searching. A forklift certification may be required. A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record are also necessary.
Physical requirements
The job involves handling heavy loads, including moving items up to 100 lbs and lifting up to 50 lbs.
