Role overview
The On-Site Support Specialist provides operational and customer support directly at a client location, working with limited supervision. The role is designed for a position that combines multiple non-exempt support duties and is spent more than half of the working time on-site at the customer’s facility.
Key duties
- Deliver strong customer service that helps build client relationships and supports repeat business.
- May guide or mentor other team members when needed.
- Carry out one or more support tasks at a customer site, which may include ART, vendor-managed inventory support, driving, deliveries, crib attendant work, storeroom duties, and customer-facing service.
- Handle additional tasks assigned by management.
Education and experience
This position generally calls for a high school diploma or GED, along with 3 to 5 years of relevant experience, or an equivalent mix of education and experience.
Skills and abilities
- Dependability, strong organization, and close attention to detail.
- Prior industry experience; warehouse product knowledge is an advantage.
- Effective customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to juggle multiple tasks and manage time well.
- Comfort with basic computer use, including email, internal and external communication, business systems, and internet product searches.
- Forklift certification may be required.
- A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record are required.
Physical requirements
The role requires the ability to move loads up to 100 lbs and lift up to 50 lbs.
