About the Role
Controlled Environments Company (CEC) provides one-stop supply and solutions support to customers working in highly controlled, critically clean environments. The business is looking for an On-site Customer Support specialist who will partner with account management and other internal teams to deliver on-site services, coordinate product distribution, solve operational issues, provide technical help, and support growth opportunities for both CEC and the end customer.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain a strong relationship with on-site customers while delivering a consistently high standard of service.
- Move products to different areas across the client’s site as needed.
- Handle incoming goods by checking, counting, and putting stock away correctly.
- Pick and pack customer orders within agreed turnaround times.
- Monitor stock across the site and keep inventory at the required levels.
- Carry out stock checks and cycle counts, taking a proactive approach to maintaining inventory accuracy.
- Use a computerised warehouse management system and other business systems.
- Spot issues early and take initiative to identify workable solutions.
- Support project rollouts, ongoing objectives, and urgent customer requirements.
- Remain flexible and take on additional duties when required.
- Operate company vehicles and a forklift as part of the role.
- Manage assigned project tasks and deliverables to completion within set timelines.
- Troubleshoot hardware issues when trained and suitable to do so.
- Carry out manual repairs where necessary, following procedures and guidance.
- Install and relocate equipment as needed.
- Work across multiple computer-based systems.
Skills and Experience Required
- A flexible, dependable, and hardworking approach with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
- Confidence working independently and in a busy, fast-moving environment.
- The ability to understand customer needs, recognise sales opportunities, and deliver excellent service.
- Strong technical aptitude.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good problem-solving skills.
- A full Irish driving licence is desirable.
- Forklift experience is desirable.
- Previous experience with stock control systems such as SAP or similar platforms.
- Cleanroom experience is an advantage but not essential.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A tech-savvy or mechanically minded profile with experience troubleshooting software and hardware issues is a strong advantage.
- Two to three years of experience in a similar position is preferred.
