Key Responsibilities
- Carefully picking and assembling customer orders from various temperature zones to ensure timely delivery.
- Packing orders meticulously by verifying product selections, quantities, and codes.
- Choosing fresh, high-grade products and removing any damaged or unsuitable items.
- Accurately completing all necessary documentation such as pick slips and shipping labels.
- Efficiently packing totes to optimize space while maintaining safety and product quality.
- Balancing order fulfillment with positive customer interactions by offering help and addressing concerns.
- Maintaining a clean, safe work environment by following food hygiene and safety guidelines, promptly cleaning spills, and ensuring totes are sanitized before use.
- Operating equipment with safety precautions and performing required safety checks.
- Contributing flexibility and ideas to enhance processes, productivity, and customer satisfaction.
- Adapting to a range of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to support business needs and maintain consistent service quality.
Challenges of the Role
- Handling a high volume of tasks in a fast-paced environment, including overnight shifts that require sustained energy and focus.
- Managing restocking and recovery duties efficiently and accurately within set timeframes.
- Performing physically demanding activities such as standing for long periods, bending, lifting items weighing up to 20 lbs regularly and occasionally up to 50 lbs.
- Repetitive tasks like stocking and organizing products while maintaining attention to detail and store standards.
