Role Overview
Renvolt is expanding its Operations & Maintenance site team in Ireland to support the long-term performance of the Ballymoneen 139MW Solar Power Plant. This role is meant for someone based close to the site, ideally in or around Galway, so that urgent response and local support can be delivered quickly.
Responsibilities
- Respond quickly on-site or remotely to technical issues and help restore production by diagnosing faults and applying recovery actions.
- Perform specialized maintenance work at the plant location.
- Take part in commissioning and start-up activities.
- Complete technical site inspections and assessments.
- Prepare reports and supporting evidence for claim-related processes.
- Deliver training and technical workshops to strengthen maintenance skills across the team.
- Support the creation and improvement of maintenance processes and systems.
- Write technical documents that support maintenance operations.
- Suggest better tools and more efficient ways of working for maintenance tasks.
- Share best practices and working standards with the team.
- Help with reliability analysis and investigation of failures.
- Assist in reviewing, monitoring, and auditing procedures, processes, and site activities.
Qualifications and Experience
The right candidate should have an electrical qualification. Prior exposure to commissioning and maintenance in photovoltaic power plants is preferred. Experience in electronics, automation fault detection, troubleshooting, SCADA and remote-control systems is also important. Knowledge of data acquisition and communications systems is an added advantage.
Advanced skills in MS Office and reporting tools are required, along with strong English communication skills in reading, writing, and speaking. The job also requires the ability to carry out physical work on site and hold a valid Irish driving licence.
