Role overview
We are seeking an Offshore Company Site Representative to act as the company’s offshore lead for construction, hook-up, pre-commissioning, and commissioning work on the project. This position ensures that all offshore activities are executed safely, efficiently, and in line with project requirements, company standards, and applicable regulatory obligations.
Based on site, the CSR serves as the main point of contact offshore and coordinates contractor performance, site access and control, Permit to Work compliance, HSE execution, and collaboration between construction, pre-commissioning, commissioning, and operations teams. The role is central to meeting project goals for safety, quality, schedule, and readiness for operations while managing SIMOPS, interfaces, and other offshore execution challenges in both greenfield and brownfield settings.
The position also provides direction to the offshore supervision team, supports stakeholder alignment, and contributes to the successful transfer and start-up of new facilities in accordance with project expectations.
Key activities
- Represent the company offshore during construction, hook-up, pre-commissioning, and commissioning phases.
- Ensure offshore work is completed safely, effectively, and in compliance with project specifications, company requirements, and regulatory standards.
- Oversee contractor performance and maintain control of the worksite.
- Manage Permit to Work / control of work compliance and support HSE implementation.
- Coordinate activities between construction, pre-commissioning, commissioning, and operations functions.
- Handle SIMOPS constraints, interfaces, and execution issues in complex offshore environments.
- Guide and support the offshore supervision team.
- Track progress, spot risks and delays, and provide status updates to management.
- Support system handover and commissioning readiness activities.
Qualifications and experience
A Bachelor’s degree, HND, or equivalent qualification in a relevant field is required. The role calls for 10 years of professional experience in the offshore oil and gas industry, with strong knowledge of project management best practices.
Hands-on experience in offshore construction and hook-up activities is mandatory. Client-side EPC supervision experience is considered an advantage. The candidate must be available for technical missions worldwide and have prior exposure to Permit to Work coordination or control of work.
Familiarity with NOC or Total General Specifications, MANASA, and applicable codes and standards is expected. Strong English communication skills are required, and French would be a plus.
