Role Overview
The Officer in Payment Operations is responsible for the initial verification and detailed examination of various transaction types, including outward payments, inward payments, clearing, collections, payroll, cash management, investigations, reconciliations, and post-dated cheque (PDC) processing. The position aims to deliver value-added services by ensuring every transaction adheres to established turnaround times and operating standards, thereby enhancing overall customer satisfaction.
Key Duties
- Conduct first-level scrutiny of payment-related transactions across multiple domains such as outward and inward payments, clearing processes, collections, payroll, and cash management.
- Perform in-depth investigations and reconciliation tasks to maintain accuracy and integrity of financial records.
- Manage the processing of post-dated cheques efficiently, ensuring timely handling within regulatory and procedural guidelines.
- Guarantee that all operations comply with mandated operating procedures and turnaround time requirements to optimize service delivery.
- Provide consistent value-added services to support customer experience and satisfaction.
