Job description

Job purpose

This graduate-level officer role supports the bank’s IT function by helping keep technology systems running smoothly, assisting with issue resolution, and contributing to projects that improve the performance and reliability of IT services.

Key responsibilities

  • Help with daily upkeep and support for IT systems, networks, and software tools.
  • Track and diagnose issues affecting hardware, applications, or connectivity, and escalate more complex cases when needed.
  • Assist with installing, setting up, and upgrading IT devices and software.
  • Maintain and update records covering IT policies, procedures, and system settings.
  • Work with teams across the business to understand their technology needs and deliver practical support.
  • Take part in IT initiatives, including testing activities and rollout stages.
  • Follow IT security rules, controls, and compliance standards.
  • Provide support to end users, including guidance and basic training on tools and systems.
  • Keep up with new technologies and industry developments and suggest possible improvements.

Qualifications

A bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or another technology-related discipline is required.

Other skills

  • Foundational knowledge of computer networks, operating systems, and common software applications.
  • Exposure to widely used IT tools and platforms.
  • Strong troubleshooting ability and a careful eye for detail.
  • Clear written and spoken communication skills.
  • Ability to operate independently as well as collaboratively.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and workflows.
