Role overview
The Officer Information Security APAC will help protect confidential information and sensitive data across the APAC region. The role involves partnering with regional teams and stakeholders to support smooth information exchange and consistent execution of security policies and procedures, working closely with the global information security function.
Key responsibilities
- Roll out and maintain information security policies and procedures across APAC.
- Carry out periodic risk reviews to uncover possible threats and weaknesses.
- Work with Global Information Security and IT teams to put suitable controls and safeguards in place.
- Handle security events and breaches promptly and effectively.
- Support adherence to information security laws, rules, and regulatory obligations.
- Develop productive relationships with stakeholders across departments to improve coordination on security matters.
- Deliver awareness sessions and training to encourage secure practices among employees.
- Keep abreast of evolving security trends, tools, and industry practices to strengthen the organization’s security posture.
Candidate profile
The ideal applicant holds a bachelor’s degree in computer science, information security, or a related field, and brings at least 2 years of experience in information security, preferably in a regional or multi-site setting. A strong grasp of security principles, technologies, and best practices is important, along with hands-on experience in risk assessment.
The role also requires excellent communication and interpersonal ability, a collaborative mindset, and the confidence to work independently in a fast-moving environment. Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, and the capacity to prioritize several tasks and projects at once are also expected. Security certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CISA are considered an advantage. English proficiency is required.
