About Horizon School
Horizon School is a state-integrated Christian school in Snells Beach, set in a coastal location overlooking the Mahurangi River. The school educates students from Years 0 to 13 and is guided by a mission to nurture lifelong growth, loving service, living faith, and forward-looking learners.

The Role
Horizon School is looking for a personable and well-organised Office Support Staff member to join its administration team. In this position, you will be the first contact for many visitors, callers, and emails, while also helping keep daily office operations running smoothly and supporting the school’s Christian character.
This is a part-time, onsite role of around 25 hours per week, with flexibility in scheduling for the right person. The work is varied from day to day and offers the chance to contribute meaningfully to the school community.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the initial contact for phone enquiries, email messages, and in-person visitors
- Record daily student attendance and keep attendance information accurate
- Assist teachers and school leaders with administrative tasks
- Help coordinate school events, communications, and community engagement activities
- Support enrolment activities and maintain communication with families
- Update and manage student and family database records
- Carry out general office tasks such as filing, photocopying, and correspondence
- Contribute to interactions that reflect and support the school’s Christian special character
About You

Essential Requirements
- Strong communication and people skills
- Well-developed organisation skills and careful attention to detail

Desirable Experience
- Previous work in school administration or a similar environment
- Familiarity with the New Zealand education system
- Experience using student management systems
- Ability to speak more than one language
