Role Overview
The Office and Marketing Assistant plays a key role in supporting daily administrative operations alongside assisting the marketing department. This multifaceted position is responsible for facilitating internal communications, organizing events, managing company branding, and overseeing digital content. Responsibilities
- Keep informed regarding trends in civil engineering and associated markets served by Sambatek.
- Create marketing collateral such as presentations and brochures for clients and internal teams.
- Draft and revise content targeting both internal staff and external audiences.
- Update and maintain qualification documents, project summaries, resumes, and photographic resources.
- Coordinate with external vendors and specialists for submissions, merchandising, events, and printing needs.
- Assist in preparing award nominations for projects, personnel, and company honors.
- Support the production and management of digital content across the company's website and social media platforms.
- Monitor and report marketing opportunities and engagement data.
- Help manage customer relationship management (CRM) systems and task tracking tools.
- Maintain marketing files and templates to ensure consistent use of branding.
- Assist with organizing internal communication initiatives and staff-focused events, including Town Halls and recognition occasions.
- Support planning and logistics for client-oriented events such as trade shows and conferences.
- Manage ordering and inventory of promotional materials, signage, and branded giveaways.
- Coordinate photography efforts for both staff and projects.
- Carry out general office administrative duties including supply procurement, mail management, correspondence typing, filing, and document formatting.
- Support marketing team operations and internal workflow coordination.
- Update license tracking databases, aid in renewal processes, and assist with reporting consolidations.
- Ensure project and proposal documentation is current and accessible.
- Perform other assigned office tasks as required.
Requirements
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or related disciplines.
- Between zero and three years of experience in marketing, office coordination, or administrative roles.
- Competency with Microsoft Office applications; familiarity with Adobe InDesign and other Creative Suite programs is advantageous.
- Excellent written and oral communication abilities.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, capable of juggling multiple priorities effectively.
- A positive, cooperative demeanor with a customer service mindset.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
- The role is primarily based in an office setting.
- Occasional lifting or moving of items weighing up to 10 pounds may be required.
Compensation and Benefits
The position offers hourly pay ranging from $25 to $30 per hour, dependent on applicant qualifications and location, with overtime paid at 1.5 times the base rate for hours beyond 40 per week.
