Odoo ERP Consultant

Position Overview

We are inviting a dedicated and client-oriented Odoo ERP Consultant to be part of our Nairobi office. The candidate will partner with clients to understand their operational workflows, propose suitable Odoo ERP solutions, configure the system accordingly, facilitate user training sessions, and deliver support throughout implementation and beyond the go-live phase. This role demands a strong mix of functional business insight, analytical abilities, and effective client communication skills.

Primary Responsibilities

• Engage with clients through workshops and discussions to capture and analyze their business needs.
• Align client processes with Odoo ERP best practices and suggest the most effective solutions.
• Set up Odoo modules tailored to client specifications.
• Develop detailed Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), Functional Requirement Specifications (FRS), and other implementation materials.
• Liaise with development teams to deliver necessary customizations and system integrations.
• Lead system demos, coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and provide end-user training.
• Oversee ERP deployments, manage data migration, and assist with go-live procedures.
• Deliver ongoing post-implementation assistance and resolve functional challenges.
• Advise clients on process enhancements and encourage ERP system adoption.
• Track project timelines, ensure deliverables are met, and maintain communications with stakeholders.
• Continuously update knowledge on new Odoo releases, features, and relevant industry standards.

Essential Qualifications

• Possession of a Bachelor’s degree in fields such as Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Information Systems, Accounting, Finance, or closely related disciplines.
• Between two to five years of practical experience in ERP deployments or business consultancy.
• Preferably experience working hands-on with Odoo ERP implementations.
• A solid grasp of business functions including Finance, Sales, Customer Relationship Management, Purchasing, Inventory, Manufacturing, Human Resources, or Project Management.
• Exceptional skills in analysis, documentation, and problem resolution.
• Strong communication capabilities and confidence in presentation.
• Competence to juggle various projects and manage client partnerships effectively.
• Willingness and ability to travel to client sites as required.
