About the Role

Champlain Rehab Solutions (CRS) provides high-quality community-based care in Ottawa, with a strong focus on supporting clients, their families, and service providers through person-centered service, collaborative care teams, and a commitment to continuous improvement. Occupational Therapists in this role work with adults in their homes, retirement residences, and other community settings to help them live more independently. The position offers flexibility in managing community schedules, meaningful long-term client relationships, and support from a regional team and home office resources.

Compensation

The estimated annual earning potential for this role is $80,000 to $130,000. Final earnings can differ depending on availability and service volume.

What You Will Do

In this role, you will assess clients, provide consultations, recommend interventions, and deliver occupational therapy services using evidence-based best practices. You will coordinate care by staying in regular contact with the client care team, work with clients and colleagues to solve problems and create greater independence, and uphold CRS's core values.

Accountabilities

  • Complete occupational therapy assessments and interventions in line with professional standards and the applicable regulatory body.
  • Design and carry out client interventions using assessment results, client preferences, and the integrated care plan.
  • Deliver services grounded in evidence-based practice and monitor outcomes with reliable measurement tools.
  • Maintain coordinated care by communicating regularly with all members of the client team about intervention plans and schedules.
  • Record assessment results, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries as required by the profession, referral source, and organization.
  • Support safe client care by building knowledge and skills in line with continuous quality improvement principles.
  • Take part in a weekend on-call rotation within the region to support client needs.

Requirements

  • A degree in Occupational Therapy from a recognized program.
  • Active good-standing membership with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario.
  • A valid driver's licence and access to a vehicle.
  • Strong compassion and empathy.
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative.
  • Experience managing a caseload effectively.
  • Comfort and skill with electronic documentation.
  • Ability to provide virtual care.
  • ADP authorizer registration is considered an advantage.
