Role overview
This contract role is based in Al Khobar, Eastern, Saudi Arabia, and is intended only for Saudi nationals in accordance with Saudization requirements. The position focuses on leading occupational health, safety, and environmental activities across TR KSA offices, while ensuring alignment with corporate objectives, group standards, ISO 45001 and ISO 14001, ADNOC requirements, and applicable local regulations.
Qualification and experience
A Bachelor of Science or Engineering degree is required. The ideal candidate must also hold certification from a recognized organization in occupational health and safety management systems, aligned with ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and NEBOSH standards. A minimum of 5 years of experience in implementing HSE management systems under ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 is needed, along with prior exposure to engineering and construction environments.
Responsibilities and duties
- Roll out the company HSE management system and occupational health and safety activities across TR KSA offices in line with strategic goals, group requirements, ISO 45001 / ISO 14001, ADNOC expectations, and local laws.
- Maintain full control, preservation, and traceability of all documented information required under the HSE management system.
- Track HSE objectives, targets, risk and opportunity registers, and performance indicators, and ensure regular reporting plus continual improvement actions.
- Review compliance against applicable HSE legal and regulatory obligations, including ARAMCO and Saudi regulations.
- Compile the annual management review report, bringing together performance results, objectives, initiatives, incidents, audit outcomes, and improvement plans.
- Assist with internal and external audits linked to ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and ARAMCO requirements, and follow through to closure of findings and corrective actions.
- Plan and execute occupational health and safety initiatives such as training, medical surveillance, prevention measures, emergency preparedness, evacuation planning, and upkeep of emergency equipment including fire extinguishers and office safety systems as per TR standards.
- Carry out routine inspections at TR KSA offices to confirm compliance with ISO standard requirements.
- Analyze HSE data, audit findings, incidents, non-conformities, and improvement opportunities, and drive effective corrective and preventive action plans.
- Work with HR, General Services, and other support teams to gather and monitor environmental metrics such as waste, energy use, paper use, and other sustainability indicators.
- Strengthen HSE awareness and promote a continuous improvement culture through communication, training, and employee participation.
- Encourage wellbeing initiatives across all KSA offices.
- Suggest ways to simplify and streamline HSE processes to improve performance and use resources more efficiently.
