Job description
Role overview
The Nutrition Coordinator will oversee the day-to-day delivery of the organization’s Nutrition Program while working under the direction of the Executive Director. The role centers on planning, preparing, and serving snacks and meals for children and youth, while keeping the program aligned with BGC Canada’s values and the priorities of the local community.
Key duties
- Coordinate and carry out the full Nutrition Program operation.
- Buy food and other kitchen supplies needed for daily service.
- Prepare snacks each day and cook meals for children and youth.
- Keep the kitchen area organized, stocked, and maintained in a clean condition.
Working conditions
The schedule is generally Monday through Friday, although working hours may be arranged flexibly. A valid Class 5 licence and access to a personal vehicle are required to complete the job’s responsibilities.
Additional requirements
Applicants must be bondable and willing to undergo an RCMP criminal record check and a Vulnerable Sector Check. A Nutrition Coordinator certificate or a related educational background would be considered an advantage.
