North America Distribution Center Manager

Overview

DwyerOmega seeks a proactive and strategic North America Distribution Manager to oversee and enhance the operational performance of its distribution centers located in South Bend, IN, and Swedesboro, NJ. This full-time position requires approximately 25% traveling and is ideal for an experienced leader committed to building scalable distribution operations and improving supply chain effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily operations across two major distribution facilities ensuring high productivity and operational integrity.
• Design, implement, and refine scalable processes and standard operating procedures to foster a world-class distribution network.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives focusing on operational efficiency, accuracy, and customer satisfaction.
• Promote a culture emphasizing accountability, teamwork, safety, and performance excellence.
• Ensure both facilities comply with all relevant regulatory, quality, and safety standards.
• Develop and execute strategic plans that align distribution operations with broader company growth goals.
• Identify and implement ways to optimize inventory control, warehouse space use, and supply chain workflows.
• Lead modernization projects that support scalability and enhance warehouse technology deployment.
• Build, mentor, and lead high-performing teams, fostering an environment geared toward learning, collaboration, and professional development.
• Coach site leaders and team members to improve engagement and operational capabilities.
• Oversee major projects aimed at boosting operational efficiency, reducing costs, and enhancing service delivery.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including transportation, procurement, and customer service to introduce innovative solutions.
• Apply Lean principles and continuous process optimizations to achieve operational excellence.
• Track and analyze key performance indicators such as order accuracy, inventory accuracy, on-time delivery, productivity, shipping expenses, and overall warehouse efficiency.
• Implement corrective actions based on data analytics to continuously elevate service quality and operational outcomes.
• Work closely with transportation teams to optimize carrier selection and logistics strategies cost-effectively.
• Ensure effective use and ongoing improvement of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and cycle count programs to maintain inventory accuracy.
• Evaluate and adopt technologies that boost operational transparency and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related discipline preferred.
• A minimum of seven years' leadership experience managing multi-site distribution or warehouse operations.
• An in-depth understanding of supply chain, logistics, and distribution best practices.
• Proven track record in leading operational improvements and transformation initiatives.
• Experience establishing scalable operational models, processes, and procedures.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and project management capabilities.
• Exceptional communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to succeed in a dynamic and growth-driven environment.
• Willingness to travel around 25% of the time.
