An established mission-focused nonprofit in Washington, DC is seeking a part-time temporary Administrative Assistant to support executive leadership and keep daily office functions running smoothly. Schedule and arrangement
This is an on-site role based in Washington, DC. The schedule runs Monday through Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with Fridays off, creating a four-day workweek.
Responsibilities
The position centers on executive support, office coordination, and document handling.
- Support senior leaders with calendar management, meeting setup, and scheduling.
- Arrange travel, process expense reporting, and coordinate executive logistics.
- Act as a professional contact for both internal teams and outside stakeholders.
- Help manage office operations, including supplies, mail handling, vendor follow-up, and general workspace organization.
- Prepare documents, presentations, reports, and materials needed for meetings.
- Keep filing systems orderly and assist with document management workflows.
Requirements
Candidates should bring prior experience supporting executive leadership, preferably in a nonprofit, mission-driven, or professional services setting. Strong proficiency with Salesforce and SharePoint is required.
- Background supporting executive-level staff.
- Experience in nonprofit, mission-driven, or professional services environments preferred.
- Strong command of Salesforce and SharePoint.
