Role Summary
The Non-Commercial Goods (NCG) Specialist plays a vital role in guaranteeing a streamlined and punctual logistics process for non-commercial goods. This includes ensuring cost-efficient delivery, maximizing sustainable reuse, and maintaining accurate material flow from distribution points to Construction & Facilities projects. The position involves coordinating sourcing, transportation, inventory management, documentation, and cross-departmental collaboration to uphold quality, compliance, and smooth execution across various store projects and maintenance activities.
This hybrid position reports to the Construction Manager and is based at the New York Support Office.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with the Construction & Facilities Manager and Expansion Controller to devise the most effective NCG strategy for the market.
- Prepare, present, and analyze business cases linked to NCG and logistics investments.
- Implement logistics setups and establish efficient working methods.
- Manage tenders for transport, storage, and handling of NCG, ensuring optimal price-quality balance in adherence to procurement standards.
- Monitor compliance with agreements made with external partners to guarantee quality standards.
- Stay informed about technological advancements and industry best practices to propose improvements for logistic efficiency.
- Ensure timely, accurate, and sustainable delivery of NCG in correct quantities.
- Maintain up-to-date LIMA system records with on-site dates to facilitate global interior product forecasting.
- Oversee purchasing, ordering, fabrication, delivery, and inventory of all interior items.
- Provide and receive timely, structured communication to and from all project-related parties.
- Educate stakeholders on NCG management and offer consultation during projects and procurement.
- Handle invoicing and claims management processes.
- Contribute to sustainability goals by establishing reuse and waste management strategies aligned with global and local guidelines.
- Monitor reuse and waste management activities and mentor peers in adhering to standards.
- Develop strategies to decrease overall storage costs and reduce inventory holdings.
- Manage existing store inventories to minimize loss.
- Coordinate with Expansion, Visual, Controlling, Accounting, and Project Coordination teams to manage extra orders, missing materials, shipment delays, and claim resolutions.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
- Extensive knowledge of building materials and interior design components.
- Proven ability in managing projects and coordinating multiple stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
- Fluent in English, both written and verbal.
- Relevant experience in non-commercial goods or logistics operations.
- Background in retail construction and/or facilities management is advantageous.
- Hands-on experience in formulating and implementing NCG strategies.
- Excellent communication, supportive and consultative approach, with a methodical and creative mindset.
- Strong teamwork orientation, decisive action-taking, and ability to maintain smooth collaboration across different teams.

Compensation and Employment Details
The annual salary for this role is $108,638. This is an exempt salaried position. Compensation may vary based on candidate qualifications. Please note this is not an exhaustive list of duties and additional tasks may be assigned as necessary.
