Role overview
IHG Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Night Auditor to support overnight hotel operations in Adelaide. This position is suited to someone who enjoys a fast-moving, guest-centred environment and can help maintain service quality, security, and accurate financial records through the night.
The shift runs from 11:00 pm to 7:30 am.
Key duties
- Support the Night Manager with overnight reporting, transaction balancing, and preparation for the following day.
- Handle payments across room charges, debit and credit cards, cash, and cheques in line with hotel procedures.
- Manage check-ins, check-outs, and wake-up call requests during overnight hours.
- Respond to phone calls and assist guests with after-hours questions or concerns.
- Provide additional support with concierge tasks, room service coordination, and other special guest requests.
- Help maintain the safety and security of guests, employees, and hotel premises.
What the hotel is looking for
The right person will present well with guests, colleagues, and external contacts, reflecting positively on the hotel, brand, and organisation. You should be comfortable solving problems, staying organised, and adjusting quickly as situations change. A solid grasp of accounting and basic mathematics is needed for auditing and payment handling, along with strong written and spoken communication skills. Careful attention to detail and an analytical mindset are also important. Experience with Opera is an advantage. A driver’s licence is preferred. RSA and Food Safety certificates are required. You must also be available for a 7-day overnight roster, including weekends and public holidays.
