Role Overview
As a Product Development Technologist reporting to the Product Development Manager for Sport & Foods, you will have a crucial responsibility in innovating and executing new products for our sport and food brands. This role offers a dynamic and creative environment with varied daily challenges, where you will manage development projects from concept to commercial release, ensuring all specifications and regulatory requirements are met.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee assigned development projects from initial brief through to full commercial production, fulfilling both internal and external stakeholder expectations.
- Participate actively in generating innovative ideas and contribute to the innovation pipeline.
- Ensure all developed products adhere strictly to regulatory standards.
- Support continuous improvement processes within the development functions.
- Provide technical assistance and expertise to different business units as required.
Experience and Qualifications
- Degree in food science, food technology, or a closely related field.
- 7 to 10 years of professional experience in food product formulation, project management, and compliance with regulations.
- Exposure to diverse food manufacturing settings.
- Strong familiarity with the Food Standards Code and its application.
- Excellent communication, both verbal and written.
- Meticulous attention to detail and accurate work execution.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and collaborate effectively within teams.
A qualification in nutrition or sports nutrition is advantageous but not mandatory.
