Role overview

Fakeeh Care Group is hiring a Neurophysiology Technician to carry out a range of diagnostic neurophysiology procedures and support the neurology team in delivering accurate, timely patient testing and reporting.

Key duties

  • Carry out short routine EEG studies.
  • Perform extended video EEG monitoring.
  • Complete EEG recordings at the patient bedside when needed.
  • Conduct nerve conduction studies.
  • Perform evoked potential assessments, including visual and somatosensory testing.
  • Support neurologists with advanced EMG, NCV, and VEP procedures.
  • Prepare typed reports and complete documentation for each patient.
  • Schedule appointments for PSG, PAP titration, EEG, EMG-NCV, and VEP.
  • Handle routine care of equipment, maintenance checks, and inventory review in coordination with the biomedical engineer.
  • Escalate safety issues or operational concerns to the Chairperson of Neurosciences.
  • Guide patients and families on health conditions, treatments, and preventive care where appropriate.
  • Ensure all procedures are completed efficiently and with professional conduct.

Requirements

  • Strong computer literacy, including Microsoft Word.
  • Typing speed of at least 20 words per minute.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a Neurophysiology Technician or EEG/NCV/EP Technician, with proven competency in all required procedures.
  • For Senior Neurophysiology Technician roles, at least 5 years of relevant experience with documented competency is required.
  • Completion of neurophysiology procedure training through a hospital program or a pre-employment training session at an accredited facility.
  • English and Arabic are preferred language skills.
  • Must hold a valid practice license from the relevant regional health regulatory authority, such as SCFHS or DHA.
