Position Overview
This role is essential within our national performance team, where you will manage weekly benefit entitlements accurately and compliantly across multiple regions, supporting a major nationally self-insured client. You will ensure precise PIAWE calculations and uphold legislative standards across Queensland, South Australia, and Western Australia.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the technical accuracy of weekly benefit and PIAWE calculations for a nationally self-insured client.
- Evaluate complex remuneration and employment cases according to jurisdictional guidelines.
- Provide expert advice to claims teams regarding entitlement determinations and interpretation of legislation.
- Lead quality assurance and remediation efforts, identifying problems and directing corrective measures.
- Serve as the escalation authority for complex entitlement and payroll inquiries involving claims teams and clients.
Candidate Profile
- Significant experience in workers’ compensation or technical claims settings, particularly with PIAWE and weekly benefits.
- In-depth knowledge of multi-jurisdictional workers’ compensation systems and self-insurance entitlement frameworks.
- Ability to act as a technical authority influencing claims outcomes and stakeholder engagement.
- Strong analytical capability with meticulous attention in complex calculation scenarios.
- Effective communicator with proven stakeholder management abilities across operational and client teams.
