Job description
About the Opportunity
Service Foods is a major New Zealand foodservice company, Kiwi-owned and operated, with a broad national reach and a strong track record built on service quality and long-term customer relationships.
The business is entering a period of continued growth, with a clear focus on expanding its customer base and strengthening its sales capability. This position offers the chance to play a visible, high-impact role with meaningful scope to influence results and build a long-term career.
Role Overview
In this position, you will manage a portfolio of important national accounts while also contributing to new business acquisition. You will be expected to create account strategies that lift revenue, protect and improve margin, and deepen customer partnerships over time.
The role involves leading commercial discussions with senior decision-makers across complex customer organisations and working closely with internal teams to deliver customised solutions and dependable national service outcomes.
This is a great opportunity to join a company that is investing in its sales function and aiming to build a market-leading team.
What You’ll Bring
You should have a strong background in account management, business development, or strategic B2B sales, along with sound commercial judgement and confidence in pricing, margin management, and negotiation.
Success in the role will require the ability to grow existing relationships while actively identifying and converting new opportunities. You’ll also need strong communication and presentation skills, particularly when engaging senior stakeholders.
A proactive, disciplined, and accountable working style is important, as is strong capability in CRM usage and sales planning.
What’s on Offer
This is a senior national role with significant opportunity to influence growth and make a visible contribution.
You’ll be joining one of New Zealand’s leading Kiwi-owned foodservice businesses, with the scale and support needed to succeed.
There is strong potential for career development, including future progression into broader leadership responsibilities.
The company offers a collaborative, values-driven culture, along with a competitive package, incentive opportunity, and tools of the trade.
