Programme Details

• The entire training journey lasts approximately four years, covered entirely by Emirates without any cost to you, including course materials, accommodation, uniforms, and daily meals.
• The training phases progress from ground school through advanced simulator and aircraft experience, followed by type rating and line training.

Training Phases

• Phase 1 – Ground School (about 12 months): Utilize cutting-edge technology and virtual reality at Emirates Flight Training Academy to learn foundational aviation knowledge.
• Phase 2 – Flight Training (about 12 months): Acquire around 274 hours of flight and simulator time, culminating in achieving your Commercial Pilot Licence with Multi-Instrument Rating, Multi Crew Cooperation Course certificate, and Jet Orientation Course certification.
• Phase 3 – Type Rating (roughly 3 months): Engage in conversion and training specific to Emirates aircraft at the Emirates Training College.
• Phase 4 – Line Training (around 8 months): Complete hands-on training on Emirates’ widebody aircraft and earn a Frozen Air Transport Pilot Licence endorsed by the UAE General Civil Aviation Authority.

Selection Process

• Initial assessments in Mathematics, Physics, and medical pre-screening.
• Follow-up tests in compass navigation, mental arithmetic, Aviation English proficiency, and psychometric evaluations such as Abstract and Spatial Reasoning.
• Final interviews including a panel and GCAA medical examination.

Candidate Requirements

• Completion of UAE National Service prior to joining.
• Minimum physical height of 160 cm and BMI not exceeding 29.
• Valid UAE citizenship with passport and Khulasat Al Qaid documentation.

Educational Eligibility

• High School Graduates (Scientific Stream): Ages 18-21, minimum 80% score with advanced courses in chemistry, physics, or mathematics; IELTS 6.0 (min 5.5 per section) or TOEFL PBT 510/IBT 65.
• Degree Holders (Diploma or higher) in Scientific/Engineering majors: Ages 22-26 with at least a 3.0 GPA; same language proficiency requirements as above.

Application Prerequisites

• Updated CV, highest education certificate, UAE passport, Emirates ID, Khulasat Al Qaid, National Service completion letter (if applicable), and IELTS/TOEFL score report.

Remuneration and Benefits

• During ground school and flight training phases (total 24 months), a monthly stipend of AED 6,365 is paid along with accommodation and meals.
• Type rating phase (3 months) carries a monthly salary of AED 18,335.
• Line training phase (8 months) offers AED 31,745 per month.
• Upon completion, as a First Officer, a monthly salary of AED 52,105 is provided.
