Role overview

Lavazza Professional UK is looking for a driven National Account Manager to join its National Accounts function. The role is based in the United Kingdom, and the successful candidate should live within a 2–3 hour drive of Basingstoke, North Hampshire, where the head office is located and where routine meetings and client visits will take place.

This position focuses on managing important customer relationships, expanding business across national accounts, and helping deliver commercial growth through existing clients and new opportunities. Experience in B2B sales, strong analytical capability, excellent communication, and hands-on use of Salesforce are all important for success. Prior knowledge of bean-to-cup systems and the vending sector is essential.

The role requires a customer-first mindset, strong stakeholder management, and the ability to create long-term commercial partnerships that benefit both customers and the business. Key focus areas

The National Account Manager will help deliver national account targets for drinks, machines, and NSV by retaining current business, securing extensions, and unlocking growth within the existing portfolio.

  • Protect and strengthen existing customer relationships.
  • Identify and convert new business extension opportunities.
  • Support the growth of current accounts through strategic account development.
  • Work closely with internal teams, including trade marketing and food service, to maximise commercial outcomes.
  • Hold regular business reviews with key clients to assess performance, service levels, and project progress.

Account retention

A major part of the role is maintaining a strong 100% retention focus. You will need to understand which accounts are at risk, create practical retention plans, and act quickly to secure repeat business. Building partnerships that support mutual long-term success is central to the position.

New business and extension growth

The role includes delivering targets for machine and NSV extensions. You will be expected to build a broad contact network within each account, collaborate with key internal teams, and identify new market opportunities that extend the reach of Lavazza Professional’s offering.

Existing account growth

You will also be responsible for growing and improving current accounts by spotting commercial opportunities, supporting customer engagement, and working with trade marketing to develop initiatives that increase revenue. Strong financial awareness and effective account planning are required to improve account performance and commercial shape.

Required knowledge and compliance

Successful applicants must understand the business and the wider vending environment in detail. All candidates must already be based in the UK, as sponsorship cannot be provided for this position. The final candidate will also need to pass a DBS check.
