Role overview
Energizer Holdings is seeking a commercially focused National Account Manager to take ownership of the Big W and Pharmacy customer portfolio. This position is responsible for building strong customer partnerships, delivering commercial results, and helping define the long-range growth plan for these accounts.
The role suits someone who can balance day-to-day performance with strategic thinking, strengthen key relationships, and contribute to sustainable business growth.
Key responsibilities
- Manage and expand major customer accounts, with accountability for core performance measures such as sales, margin, volume, and market share.
- Drive Joint Business Planning with customers and convert those plans into practical execution.
- Create customer strategies that support shared objectives and long-term growth.
- Plan, coordinate, and evaluate promotional activity across physical stores and digital channels.
- Improve assortment, pricing, distribution, and merchandising performance.
- Use category data and commercial insights to identify new growth opportunities.
- Oversee customer profit and loss performance as well as trade investment to improve return on investment.
- Represent customer needs internally and build trusted, enduring relationships with key stakeholders.
- Lead negotiations and handle trading terms effectively.
- Work with supply chain teams to maintain strong service levels and support DIFOT performance.
- Forecast demand accurately and align resources to business needs.
- Use insights and analytics to support better commercial decisions.
- Collaborate closely with Marketing, Category, Finance, and Supply teams on cross-functional initiatives.
- Support initiatives that deliver outcomes for both the customer and the wider business.

What we are looking for
- At least 2–3+ years of experience in FMCG account management, preferably within grocery or major retail.
- Solid commercial judgement and a strong understanding of profit and loss management.
- Proven ability to negotiate, influence, and build consensus across different seniority levels.
- A data-driven approach with the ability to turn analysis into action.
- Excellent communication skills and strong stakeholder management capability.
- High initiative, energy, and a growth-oriented mindset.
- Working knowledge of Circana (IRI Temple) or similar tools, along with QScan and QCheckout.
- Competence in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
- University degree qualification.
