Role summary

The National Accounts Manager for CPG and Food Processor accounts will own sales performance across an assigned territory and account base. The position is centered on growing revenue and margin with both new and existing customers, with a preference for candidates located in the Western United States.

Key responsibilities

  • Partner with CPG, Food Processor, and internal support teams to shape and deliver sales strategies, goals, and targets.
  • Meet sales objectives and carry out territory plans with a focus on volume growth, profitability, and overall business expansion.
  • Build a strong pipeline of opportunities by identifying, developing, and closing new business through CRM-driven management.
  • Engage current and prospective customers directly to strengthen relationships, uncover needs, and create account plans that address both short- and long-term requirements.
  • Protect and grow product distribution by negotiating and maintaining Master Supply Agreements that support long-term partnerships.
  • Present product capabilities, advantages, and applications clearly to help customers understand value and use cases.
  • Use persuasive selling approaches to reach prospects and communicate the value of the company’s products.
  • Carry out field promotion activities to surface new business opportunities.
  • Support accounts on an ongoing basis, including pricing, product warranty claims, and receivables.
  • Research target markets and prospect new opportunities to convert them into profitable sales.
  • Maintain compliance with company policies, legal obligations, antitrust rules, and ethical standards.
  • Demonstrate success selling packaging directly to accounts and through distribution channels.

Skills and qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred, ideally in business, sales/marketing, or a related area.
  • At least 10 years of prior sales experience is required.
  • Background in food processor packaging is strongly preferred.
  • Frequent travel is required, around 50%, including some overnight trips.
  • Strong initiative, problem-solving, negotiation, and persuasive communication skills are needed.
  • Ability to work independently while also collaborating across teams is important.

Compensation and benefits

The estimated pay range for this position is $100,000 to $160,000, plus bonus and benefits. Final compensation will depend on job-related skills, experience, education, and other relevant factors.
