Full-Time Nanny/Household Manager Position - Homewood, AL

We are looking for a skilled and professional full-time nanny and household manager to care for two children aged 1 and 3 years in a Homewood, Alabama household. The role includes nurturing the children during their waking hours and managing household tasks when they attend Mother’s Day Out.

Compensation will range from $20 to $25 per hour depending on experience and skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver loving and appropriate care tailored to toddlers’ developmental stages.
  • Design and facilitate stimulating educational activities.
  • Prepare nutritious meals and snacks suited for young children.
  • Provide transportation to children's events and activities as needed.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of children's bedrooms, play areas, and laundry.
  • Execute household errands and organize common spaces during children's absence.
  • Communicate effectively and professionally with parents while aligning with their parenting style.

Qualifications

  • At least one year of professional nanny experience, including experience with newborns and toddlers.
  • Outstanding personal and professional references.
  • Valid driver’s license with a flawless driving record and dependable transportation.
  • CPR and First Aid certification or willingness to acquire them.
  • Highly professional, reliable, well-organized, and able to maintain confidentiality.
  • Successful completion of Southern Nannies Plus’ screening procedures and background checks.
  • Compliance with pre-employment and random drug testing requirements.

Part-Time Nanny Opportunity - Helena, AL

A part-time nanny experienced in newborn care is also sought for a family in Helena, Alabama where the mother works from home. The nanny will provide independent and attentive care supporting the family’s routines.

Pay ranges between $20 and $24 per hour based on experience and qualifications.

Schedule

  • Sunday & Monday off
  • Tuesday: 8:30 AM – 2:30 PM
  • Wednesday: 2:00 PM – 5:00 PM
  • Thursday: 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM
  • Friday: Alternating shifts from 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM and 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM
  • Occasional Saturdays may be required

Responsibilities

  • Provide caring, age-appropriate attention to a newborn's needs.
  • Support the family’s childcare routines and preferences.
  • Feed, change, soothe, and engage the infant with developmental activities.
  • Handle bottle preparation and cleanup responsibilities.
  • Manage child’s laundry and maintain nursery cleanliness and organization.
  • Maintain professional communication about the baby’s care and progress with parents.

Qualifications

  • Professional experience in newborn care required.
  • At least one year of overall childcare experience.
  • Strong professional and personal references.
  • Valid driver's license with reliable transportation.
