Our New York City-based nanny agency also occasionally serves families in other cities such as Jersey City, Los Angeles, Philadelphia, and Chicago. We provide dedicated support throughout your association with our network, helping you find the best family match and advocate for stable positions offering competitive pay.
Position Details
We have openings for flexible, part-time, and full-time nanny roles primarily in New York's Manhattan and Brooklyn boroughs and New Jersey's Jersey City and Hoboken areas, with additional flexible opportunities in Bronx, Queens, Staten Island, Nassau County Long Island, Westchester County, Philadelphia, Chicago, and Los Angeles. Compensation ranges from $25 to $35+ per hour for part-time and full-time roles and $20 to $25+ per hour for flexible assignments.
Responsibilities & Expectations
- Provide engaging and creative childcare in the family’s home environment.
- Communicate openly and maintain strong relationships with families, sharing progress and addressing any concerns.
- Commit to legal, professional employment standards through the agency to promote a sustainable and rewarding nanny profession.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 2 years’ recent experience providing professional childcare, preferably with consistent, long-term in-home engagements.
- At least two, ideally three, solid references from recent childcare or related roles.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- A genuine enthusiasm for working with children and supporting their development.
- Effective problem-solving abilities and a proactive attitude.
- A professional, family-friendly presence on social media platforms.
- Availability to commit to work with Smart Sitting for at least six months.
