Key Responsibilities
- Operate on-site under close supervision to oversee the Measurement-While-Drilling (MWD) processes, including preparation of tools, data collection, log creation, quality control, and service delivery to customers.
- Engage in the learning process for Logging-While-Drilling (LWD) services.
- Act as a supporting team member in a subordinate capacity.
- Provide technical and operational support to external clients.
- Perform tasks requiring foundational knowledge of engineering and MWD principles.
- Manage equipment inventory and supervise its transport to and from drilling sites.
- Inspect equipment and identify repair needs.
- Maintain computerized job records, prepare job tickets, compile daily reports, and finalize well reports.
- Fulfill company testing or task guideline standards successfully.
Qualifications
- Completion of foundational M/LWD training program.
- Minimum education requirement: High school diploma or equivalent; no prior work experience necessary.
- Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field is preferred but not required.
- Demonstrated technical aptitude meeting company standards.
- Strong communication, arithmetic, data entry, and record-keeping skills.
- Ability to interpret formation well logs, directional survey data, and other site information.
- Valid onshore and offshore safety certifications.
- This role is the entry point in the LWD job category.
- Possession of a Class 5 non-GDL driver’s license and a current driver’s abstract is mandatory.
