An independent pop artist in Melbourne is looking for creative songwriters and music producers to help build a debut EP. The sound direction is emotional, contemporary, melodic, and atmospheric, with references that include Billie Eilish, Gracie Abrams, Lorde, and Lana Del Rey. This role is centered on shaping songs from early concepts into polished tracks that are ready for release. The collaboration is fully remote and may lead to continued creative work beyond the first EP, with a strong emphasis on building a long-term working relationship.
Core deliverables
- Work jointly on songwriting, melody creation, and vocal production across several tracks.
- Turn rough ideas into finished productions that are suitable for release.
- Contribute creative direction on arrangement, instrumentation, and the overall sonic palette.
- Keep the production aligned with the artist’s vision for a modern, dreamy indie pop style.
- Join remote review sessions and ongoing creative conversations.
- Provide finished mixes and stems at a standard appropriate for streaming release.
Required experience and capabilities
- Demonstrated background in songwriting, production, and vocal production for indie or pop music.
- Solid awareness of current indie pop sound trends and production approaches.
- Ability to craft emotionally resonant, melodic, and modern tracks.
- Comfort using professional DAWs and music production software.
- Strong written and verbal communication, with a collaborative mindset.
- Capacity to work remotely and deliver within agreed timelines.
