Key responsibilities

• Carry out MRI examinations to a high clinical standard across a range of anatomical and specialist applications.
• Work in partnership with sub-specialised radiologists to support accurate diagnosis and patient care.
• Maintain a strong focus on MRI safety, quality assurance, and compliance requirements.
• Provide a patient-centred experience with consistently high standards of imaging.
• Contribute to a fast-paced clinical team and communicate effectively with colleagues and patients.
• Use technology confidently and adapt to developments in imaging practice and systems.
• Support quality outcomes through careful problem-solving and attention to detail.
• Assist in team growth by mentoring and supporting newer staff where required.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of MRI radiography experience is preferred.
• Full AHPRA registration as a Medical Radiation Practitioner is required.
• A postgraduate qualification in MRI and/or completion of Level 1 MRI Accreditation with ASMIRT is highly desirable.
• Completed anaphylaxis training certification is needed.
• A current Working with Children Check and Police Clearance are required, or the willingness to obtain them.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team are essential.
• Experience working effectively in a busy clinical setting is important.
• A commitment to MRI safety and high compliance standards is expected.
• A strong patient-care mindset and dedication to quality imaging are required.
• Comfort using technology and adapting to industry changes is important.
• Good troubleshooting skills and an eye for accuracy are needed.
