Moving Helper - Local

Overview

The Moving Helper position at Winnipeg Moving and Storage entails assisting with the loading and unloading of household and office furniture and boxes. This role requires providing courteous and helpful service to customers while working safely and adhering to all company and governmental regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver positive, friendly customer service at all customer locations.
• Show respect to customers and ensure others respect their property, including office spaces.
• Assist in packing household belongings as needed.
• Follow all company policies and legal requirements during packing, loading, and unloading operations.
• Maintain clear communication with the driver about ongoing activities.
• Effectively load and unload households, properly tag, list, pad, and protect furniture in a timely fashion.
• Adhere strictly to Gardewine's safety policies, practices, and procedures while working.
• Undertake additional tasks to help meet organizational goals and objectives as assigned.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills and customer service capabilities.
• Physical ability to handle the demands of moving furniture and boxes including lifting, carrying, bending, twisting, and maneuvering on stairs.
• Previous experience loading and unloading household and office furniture and managing specialty freight.
• Proven teamwork skills with experience working collaboratively.

Physical Demands

This role requires significant physical stamina for lifting, carrying, bending, twisting, and moving various household and office items to fulfill the job responsibilities effectively.
