Job description
Role Overview
We are seeking a Motorsport Events Planner to handle the planning, coordination, administrative support, and event delivery for all motorsport events at Porsche Cars GB. This role works closely with the Head of Motorsport and involves travel within the UK as well as weekend work.
Primary Responsibilities
- Assist the Head of Motorsport in delivering motorsport events including Championship Launches, Testing, Race Weekends, End of Season Awards, Junior Shootouts, and Taster Days.
- Manage logistics and oversee event delivery from start to finish.
- Handle procurement processes for event suppliers.
- Supervise on-site event teams to ensure smooth operations.
- Prepare all pre-event materials such as Championship Bulletins, working documents, sign-on sheets, and information displays.
- Coordinate hospitality arrangements and guest management throughout events.
- Maintain compliance with motorsport governing bodies such as TOCA, MSA, and BARC.
- Support the Motorsport Assistant with the Porsche Centre Hospitality Programme and foster commercial relationships between Porsche Motorsport and Porsche Centres.
- Collaborate across all PCGB and PRG departments for cohesive event execution.
- Generate ideas for enhancing brand visibility at motorsport events.
- Handle contract negotiations and fees working with relevant departments.

Key Accountabilities
- Assist with achieving event budget targets.
- Deliver events that represent Porsche Motorsport with the expected brand presence.
- Provide high-quality service to internal and external customers and suppliers in line with company values.
- Lead and inspire motorsport event teams during event execution where applicable.
- Stay informed on upcoming national motorsport events.
- Adhere strictly to company policies and procedures.
- Travel is required extensively from March to October during the motorsport season.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
- Completed A Level education.
- Experience in event planning and hospitality roles.
Preferred Attributes:
- Background in hospitality, event management, or live event operations.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Familiarity with the motorsport industry.
Additional Information
This is a maternity cover fixed-term contract lasting 10 months arranged through Porsche's sole supplier, Dekra. The role necessitates UK travel and weekend work. Candidates must be prepared for a dynamic and fast-paced environment with varied duties beyond those listed, adaptable to reasonable changes aligned with business priorities.
