Role Summary
We are seeking a reliable individual to join our team as a Dog Walker on a part-time, W-2 basis. This role includes benefits such as paid time off and 401(k) contributions. Paid training and ongoing education about dog and cat behavior will be provided during employment.
Responsibilities
- Equip dogs with appropriate safety gear for outdoor activities.
- Lead walks lasting between 30 to 60 minutes and supervise active play.
- Administer food, water, or medication as per client instructions.
- Ensure cleanliness by cleaning up after pets outdoors and indoors when necessary.
- Provide updates, including photos and logs detailing pet behavior and health observations.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with both pets and their owners.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Available Monday through Friday from 6:30 AM to 10 AM.
- Ability to commute within and around Manhattan.
- Experience with dogs and cats is beneficial but not mandatory.
- Must be at least 18 years old and legally permitted to work in the United States.
- Physically capable of performing outdoor activities in various weather conditions and able to walk for several hours daily.
- Own a smartphone with an active data plan for communication and GPS tracking.
Compensation and Benefits
- Compensation based on number and duration of walks, varying by location.
- Typical weekly earnings range between $100 and $400.
- Eligible for paid time off accrual and 401(k) participation after six months of employment.
- Opportunities to earn additional income through overnight pet sitting and group walking assignments.
Service Area
Covers the area from 110th Street to South Street, east to west within Manhattan.
