Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in creating detailed MEL technical proposals, expressions of interest, and commercial bids.
  • Support MEL projects by conducting research, gathering and analyzing data, preparing reports, and engaging with clients.
  • Manage the execution of smaller-scale projects including workplans, budget oversight, quality control, risk mitigation, and coordination of consultants.
  • Establish and nurture client and partner relationships to identify future collaboration opportunities.
  • Contribute to developing NIRAS’ MEL strategy, augment our technical offerings, foster a learning culture, and advance visibility within the international development community.

Candidate Profile

  • A proactive and analytical approach combined with excellent interpersonal communication skills.
  • Experienced in managing diverse workloads across cultural and time zones effectively.
  • Capable of producing high-quality written and analytical deliverables for a variety of clients.

Essential Qualifications and Experience

  • A Master’s degree or equivalent professional qualification.
  • Minimum three years of relevant MEL experience within the international development sector.
  • Proven track record in delivering thorough MEL analyses, reports, and written outputs.
  • Experience in managing budgets, workplans, project deliverables, and team coordination.
  • Active involvement in proposal writing, expressions of interest, or business development efforts.
  • Fluency in English, both written and oral.
  • Strong organizational, planning, and problem-solving skills.
  • Competency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, and comfort handling financial data.

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Thematic know-how in agriculture, climate change, peace and stability, governance, or related development domains.
  • Advanced skills in qualitative or quantitative analysis, or data science.
  • Familiarity with using AI or digital tools to enhance MEL workflows, data analysis, quality assurance, or learning processes.
