Position Overview

We seek a motivated and results-driven Modern Trade Sales Executive with 2 to 3 years of relevant experience. The role focuses on supporting business growth by fostering strong ties with retail chains, managing distributor relationships, enhancing product visibility, and driving sales performance within the designated territory.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and sustain relationships with modern trade outlets, supermarkets, and large retail chains.
  • Identify and onboard new retail store opportunities to expand market presence.
  • Collaborate closely with distributors to ensure consistent product availability and timely restocking.
  • Implement merchandising initiatives, including product displays and planograms, to boost brand visibility at retail locations.
  • Guarantee sufficient shelf space and product exposure in stores.
  • Develop rapport with store managers and category teams to promote sales growth.
  • Execute promotional campaigns and ensure they are carried out effectively at assigned outlets.
  • Monitor inventory levels to prevent stock shortages by coordinating with distributors.
  • Prepare periodic sales reports and provide market insights to supervisors.
  • Travel throughout the assigned region to visit retail outlets and distributor points.

Candidate Requirements

  • Graduate degree in any field.
  • 2 to 3 years experience in modern trade sales, ideally within FMCG, home care, personal care, or consumer goods industries.
  • Familiarity working with modern trade distributors and retail chains.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for relationship management.
  • Basic knowledge of merchandising practices and in-store promotional strategies.
  • Ability to work independently to meet sales goals.
  • Willingness and ability to travel within the assigned sales territory.

  • Proficient negotiation and sales capabilities.
  • Effective time management and organizational skills.
  • Basic proficiency in MS Excel and report preparation.
