Job description

Role overview

BOQ Group is seeking expressions of interest for experienced Mobile Bankers to operate across Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, and Hobart. This is a customer-facing lending role for someone who is relationship-led, self-directed, and motivated by building a strong pipeline and delivering excellent outcomes.

As a Mobile Banker, you will represent BOQ Group’s personal home lending and financial solutions across ME Bank, Virgin Money Australia, and BOQ. The role is designed for an established lender who can begin contributing immediately and bring an existing network of contacts and opportunities.

You will manage the full customer journey, from the first conversation through to settlement and aftercare, while also working closely with internal colleagues and external partners. The position offers flexibility to run your own schedule and the autonomy to meet customers where it suits them, supported by the scale and systems of a major banking group.

You’ll be part of a portfolio that blends ME Bank’s community focus, Virgin Money Australia’s innovation, and BOQ’s long-standing reputation, all backed by a strong referral approach and continued digital improvement.

What the role involves

The role centres on converting leads, growing your own portfolio, and meeting acquisition goals while maintaining high-quality customer experiences. Success in the role depends on proactive business development, strong relationship management, and the ability to guide customers through complex lending conversations with confidence.

What we’re looking for

BOQ Group is looking for an experienced residential lender who already has strong ties within their local market and can draw on those relationships from day one. The right person will be comfortable working independently, have an entrepreneurial approach, and be energised by outbound business development and portfolio growth.

You should be confident, personable, and able to explain lending and financial concepts in a clear, practical way. A strong sense of customer advocacy, authenticity, and the ability to create lasting relationships are key to succeeding in this role.

  • Discounted banking and financial products across the group.
  • Salary sacrificing options to help improve take-home pay.
  • Paid parental leave with no minimum service requirement.
  • The option to purchase extra annual leave.
  • Discounted private health insurance.
  • Employee Assistance Program support for you and your family.
  • Access to employee network groups, including First Nations Reconciliation, LGBTQIA+, Multicultural, Gender, Early Careers, and accessibility communities.
  • Membership and active participation in Pride in Diversity and the Australian Workplace Equality Index.

Additional information

Applicants must be willing to complete background screening if selected for the role. These checks may include identity verification, reference checks, criminal history checks, immigration checks, verification of academic qualifications, and bankruptcy checks, as required for compliance with anti-money laundering and counter-terrorism financing obligations.
