Position overview
Start date: 01.05.2026. The workplace is the youth hostel in Sellin. This is a permanent full-time role with variable annual working hours, set at 1,560 hours per year.
About us
The DJH-Landesverband Mecklenburg-Vorpommern e. V. operates 12 youth hostels in attractive locations by the Baltic Sea, in nature, and near lakes. The organization works as a non-profit youth welfare provider and hosts youth groups, school classes, and families. What you will do
- Carry out daily and basic cleaning of guest rooms and common areas.
- Clean and disinfect sanitary facilities.
- Ensure waste is separated correctly and disposed of properly.
- Follow all environmental protection and cleaning rules.

Working time and location

Requirements
Experience in housekeeping or cleaning is preferred, but people changing careers are also encouraged to apply. A strong eye for detail, cleanliness, and order is important. You should also be able to pass repair issues on to colleagues on site and bring reliability along with a positive attitude toward working with people.
