Job description

About the Role

ReSales, as part of TEXAID, focuses on giving used clothing a second life so more people can access a broad and appealing range of garments. Alongside product quality, the company places strong emphasis on transformation and progress within the textile circular economy. Secondhand fashion not only protects budgets, but also makes a major contribution to environmental relief.

In practical terms, the business has been collecting, sorting, and processing used clothing for 45 years. Today, around 1,200 employees handle roughly 80,000 tons of old textiles each year, including work at the Apolda site, which is one of the largest sorting facilities in Europe. ReSales is also the largest secondhand clothing chain in Germany and, together with brands such as Vintage Revivals and Carou, operates about 80 stores as well as three online shops.

For the Apolda plant, the company is looking for immediate support in shop preparation and textile sorting on a single-shift schedule from Monday to Thursday, 06:00 to 15:00, and Friday, 06:00 to 14:00.

Responsibilities

  • Manually sort used clothing, textiles, and shoes according to quantity and quality standards.
  • Handle a wide range of shop goods, including bags, coats, trousers, jackets, bed linen, towels, soft toys, tablecloths, household linen, leather items, and similar products.
  • Remove foreign materials and waste in line with internal rules for quality, cleanliness, order, and safety.
  • Prepare assorted merchandise for ReSales and Vintage Revivals stores.
  • Ensure clothing, textiles, and shoes are sorted according to specified volume and quality requirements.

Requirements

  • Comfortable working in small team settings.
  • Enjoys a fast-paced environment and demonstrates reliability.
  • Can work independently and is willing to take responsibility for assigned tasks.
  • Can communicate well in German.

Perks

  • Company shutdown during Christmas and New Year's Eve, plus an additional bridge holiday on Ascension Day.
  • Future-oriented position in a continuously growing business.
  • Highly motivated team and a relaxed, informal work atmosphere.
  • Opportunity to join a workforce of over 1,200 employees worldwide and more than 900 in Germany.
  • 20% contribution toward occupational pension provision.
  • 20% discount in approximately 70 secondhand stores.
  • Single-shift work pattern from Monday to Thursday, 06:00 to 15:00, and Friday, 06:00 to 14:00.
