- Handle pilot responsibilities such as filing flight plans, reviewing and interpreting weather information, completing weight-and-balance calculations, and managing passenger luggage and cargo loading/unloading.
- Keep aircraft charts current and ensure flight software remains updated.
- Make sure the aircraft is kept tidy, presentable, and properly sanitized, including restroom cleaning after each flight.
- Support upkeep, repair, and cleaning of the hangar and surrounding property.
- Carry out pre-flight and post-flight inspections to maintain safety standards.
- Work with the FAA as assigned.
- Take on additional duties as needed.
Qualifications and Experience
- A bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university, or 2 to 4 years of related experience/training, or an equivalent mix of education and experience.
- At least 1,200 hours of flight time.
- Current First Class Medical certificate.
- FAA Commercial Pilot Certificate for Airplane Single/Multi Engine Land with Instrument Rating.
- FAA A&P Certification is an advantage, though not mandatory.
- 12 credit hours of college-level Biblical Studies are required; if not already complete, this can be completed after joining.
- Strong English fluency is required.
- Family accompaniment is allowed.
- The role involves about 35% travel, including trips lasting up to 30 days when a humanitarian crisis occurs, and the necessary travel documents and vaccinations for foreign entry will be needed.
Benefits
- International medical, prescription, dental, and vision insurance.
- Paid family medical leave.
- Retirement savings plan.
- Paid holidays.
- 12 vacation/personal days.
- 10 sick days.
- Access to an on-site medical clinic at IHQ for staff and dependents.
