MinIO Administrator

Overview

Tata Consultancy Services Ltd. is seeking experienced MinIO Administrators for their offices in Hyderabad, Bangalore, and Mumbai. This role requires handling large-scale object storage systems and ensuring their stability and performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and administer object storage platforms, especially MinIO clusters.
• Install and configure MinIO clusters end-to-end, including scaling by adding nodes, disks, and pools.
• Handle upgrades, patching, and maintenance of MinIO software versions.
• Support distributed and erasure-coded MinIO deployments.
• Implement and manage Identity and Access Management (IAM), including users, policies, and access keys.
• Integrate MinIO with centralized authentication systems such as LDAP/Active Directory.
• Perform capacity planning and optimize storage utilization.
• Set up monitoring and alerting systems using Prometheus and Grafana.
• Conduct performance tuning to enhance throughput.
• Execute preventive maintenance and health checks regularly.
• Manage disk and node failures, including recovery, healing, and rebalancing processes.
• Install and renew SSL/TLS certificates to secure data transfer.
• Troubleshoot client connectivity issues and conduct log and root cause analyses for incidents.

Requirements

• Between 4 to 8 years of experience in object storage or storage administration.
• Strong familiarity with handling multiple terabytes of data.
• Proficiency with Linux operating systems and shell scripting for automation and management.
• Good knowledge of storage concepts including disks, RAID configurations, and storage management methodologies.
• Hands-on experience with monitoring tools like Prometheus and Grafana.
• Skilled in configuring and managing reverse proxy servers such as Nginx or HAProxy.
• Understanding of IAM and security configurations including TLS/SSL.
