Mine Site Cleaner / Leading Hand

Role Overview

Talison Lithium is hiring skilled and dependable Mine Site Cleaners, with Leading Hand capability also considered, for its Site Services team at the Greenbushes Lithium Operation. This is a practical, site-based position for someone who values cleanliness, works with care, follows safety standards, and helps maintain a positive team environment.

The role operates on a 7:7 roster, and suitable candidates may be placed on either day shift or afternoon shift. The Leading Hand aspect involves helping guide the cleaning team and supporting day-to-day coordination across site facilities.

What You Will Do

You will help keep operational and accommodation areas clean, safe, and hygienic while working in line with quality, health, safety, and environmental expectations.

• Keep assigned areas clean to a consistently high standard.
• Perform manual cleaning work using correct lifting and handling methods.
• Make sure work areas stay tidy, safe, and clear of hazards or blockages.
• Use cleaning chemicals safely and strictly according to SDS guidance and manufacturer instructions.
• Track cleaning consumables and equipment, and help ensure supplies are available.
• Report defects, maintenance concerns, or other site issues to the Coordinator.
• Support other operational tasks when needed.

Leading Hand Duties

If you step into the Leading Hand element of the role, you will also support team leadership and daily work coordination.

• Organise daily cleaning activities across the site.
• Assign tasks and keep an eye on team output.
• Coach, guide, and assist team members.
• Help ensure everyone follows safety rules and site standards.
• Serve as a day-to-day point of contact for operational matters.
• Assist with roster planning and workforce coverage.

What We Are Looking For

To do well in this position, you should bring relevant cleaning experience and a strong safety mindset.

• Prior experience in a professional cleaning role.
• Previous Leading Hand or supervisory experience is an advantage.
• Good knowledge of safe work practices.
• Understanding of safe chemical use and handling.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively.
• Positive attitude and willingness to contribute to team success.
• Flexibility to help in different areas when required.
• A current manual driver’s licence is mandatory.
• Ability to live in, or relocate to, within 30 minutes of the Greenbushes operation.
