Overview
The Ministry of Defence Civil Service offers a range of roles supporting the British Army within a diverse workforce, including cyber, security, HR, and policy positions. The Allied Rapid Reaction Corps (ARRC) headquartered in Imjin Barracks provides NATO with a flexible, deployable HQ for operations and crisis management, renowned for its multinational collaboration and operational readiness.
This role involves working 37 hours per week, primarily at Imjin Barracks, Gloucestershire.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise one Administrative Officer as a line manager.
- Deliver Military Secretariat (MS) services and assist the Principal Staff Officer in managing MS across HQ ARRC Corps Troops Staff Element (CTSE) and its subordinate units.
- Support the Principal Military Secretariat formation officer by providing policy guidance and advice concerning the CTSE.
- Assist reporting and subject officers with necessary support and ensure policy adherence with timely submission of reports per Army Personnel Centre deadlines.
- Provide MS guidance and assist the management of appraisal reports for CTSE personnel.
- Coordinate CTSE UK Job Specification reviews and job adverts for assignment boards.
- Oversee the skills onboarding process for all job specifications.
- Support the Principal CTSE MS officer with officer boards and the Honours and Awards screening processes.
- Address UK establishment issues, focusing on post prioritization within CTSE and associated units.
- Attend a mandatory five-day residential training course in Glasgow post-placement.

Compensation and Benefits
The position offers a salary of £30,740 along with a pension contribution of £8,905 towards the Civil Service Defined Benefit Pension Scheme. Additional benefits include:
