Job description

Position overview

This role is for an MH-60 Aircraft Logs & Records Clerk based in Jubail, Saudi Arabia. The position focuses on keeping aircraft logbooks, aeronautical equipment service records, maintenance files, related reports, directives, and correspondence organized and up to date within an aircraft maintenance and operations setting, following CNAFINST 4790.2 series guidance and other applicable instructions.

What you will do

  • Use the designated management information systems to update aircraft forms and records as required by the customer.
  • Prepare and submit aircraft and engine management reports, along with Inventory Reporting System outputs, within required timelines.
  • Produce weekly, monthly, and annual reports as assigned.
  • Handle readiness paperwork, support the aircraft configuration status accounting program, and check aircraft utilization reports for accuracy.
  • Track configuration status, weight and balance information, and inventory data to ensure they remain correct.
  • Start and circulate maintenance forms according to established procedures.
  • Help build the Monthly Maintenance Plan.
  • Track and verify Support Equipment Custody records, Aviation Armament Equipment, aircraft inventory records, and Technical Directives as needed.
  • Maintain the work-center technical publication annex library when required.
  • Provide technical help, direction, and guidance when needed.
  • Carry out data processing, data entry, and administrative support in systems such as NALCOMIS OOMA, MH-60R AME, IMDS, CETADS, and CEMS.
  • Interact with customers and coworkers in a professional, courteous manner.
  • Follow Foreign Object Damage prevention, Hazardous Waste Program, and Tool Control Program requirements.
  • Observe all general and industrial safety rules that apply to the contract, facility, and assigned work.
  • Complete any other duties assigned by the Logs and Records Work Center Supervisor.

Minimum qualifications

  • At least 2 years of aviation clerical experience maintaining aircraft logbooks, aeronautical equipment service records, and related logs.
  • Completion of U.S. Armed Forces Logs and Records training, an equivalent school curriculum, or 2 years of on-the-job training and/or experience.
  • Ability to satisfy any government or company licensing and qualification requirements for the job.
  • Experience with automated management information systems such as OOMA, NALCOMIS, AME, IMDS, CETADS, and CEMS is strongly preferred.
  • Former military candidates must provide a DD214 Member 4 showing an honorable discharge.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Willingness to work all assigned shifts and schedules.
  • Valid driver’s license.

Clearance and authorization

The selected candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a NAC(T3) background investigation and drug test clearance, as well as facility credentials and authorization. A secret clearance may also be required.

Preferred background

  • Experience supporting U.S. Navy and/or FAA aircraft logbooks and documentation.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and keep workflow moving consistently.
  • Strong working knowledge of aircraft logbooks, maintenance records, technical manuals, publications, and forms.
  • Background with MH-60R/S, F/A-18 (A-F models), EA-18G, E-2C, and/or F-16N aircraft.
  • Strong computer skills, including keyboarding and Microsoft Office applications such as Word and Excel.
  • Typing speed of at least 35 words per minute.
  • Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English and follow verbal and written instructions.

Knowledge, training, and working conditions

  • Hazardous Waste Communications Training.
  • FOD and TCP awareness training.
  • NALCOMIS training.
  • Operational Risk Management (ORM) training.
  • Weight and Balance certification.
  • Work is usually office-based, but some tasks may take place in aircraft hangars and shop areas.
  • Low noise exposure is typical.
  • May need to handle hazardous materials.
  • Administrative tasks may involve kneeling, standing, stooping, and bending from time to time.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • May spend long periods sitting, standing, and using a keyboard.
  • Travel may be required to support detachments of uncertain duration.
