Role Overview
We are looking for a driven Merchant Acquisition Specialist to join our In-store Operations team, responsible for onboarding new merchants and evaluating our in-store marketing initiatives at partner stores. This role requires on-the-ground engagement by visiting current and prospective merchant locations. The ideal candidate is energetic, keen to learn, and thrives in a fast-moving startup setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Proactively seek out and contact potential merchants at their physical stores to introduce Tamara’s offerings and the advantages of partnering with us.
- Build and maintain strong partnerships by understanding merchants' specific requirements and challenges, effectively positioning solutions tailored to their needs.
- Conduct face-to-face product or service demonstrations, addressing any merchant queries to finalize new partnerships.
- Gather and communicate critical market insights, competitor information, merchant feedback, and observations on in-store marketing visibility to inform strategic decisions and product enhancements.
- Assist interested merchants through the application and onboarding processes, ensuring a seamless integration and foundation for long-term collaboration.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related discipline.
- Excellent verbal communication, persuasion, and interpersonal capabilities.
- Proficiency in stakeholder engagement and customer relationship management (CRM) tools.
- Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to operate independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Demonstrated adaptability to high-paced work settings.
- Energetic and proactive approach toward responsibilities.
