The company helps merchants improve how they run their operations through payment solutions, POS systems, CRM tools, and broader business management products designed to support efficiency and growth.
Role Summary
EPOS is looking for a motivated and energetic Merchant Acquisition Executive to join its Sales function. The role focuses on growing the merchant base in Singapore by actively finding, approaching, and onboarding new merchants.
This is a field-selling position that involves frequent in-person visits to merchant outlets. You will speak directly with business owners, learn about their needs, introduce EPOS offerings, and work toward securing new merchant accounts. The ideal candidate is confident in face-to-face selling, relationship-driven, and comfortable working in a fast-moving environment.
Responsibilities
- Identify, approach, and win new merchants through active field prospecting and canvassing.
- Visit retail stores, food and beverage outlets, service businesses, and similar locations on a regular basis to create sales opportunities.
- Develop a healthy sales pipeline through cold outreach, walk-ins, referrals, networking, and market research.
- Assess each merchant’s business needs and suggest the most suitable EPOS products and services.
- Run product demos and sales presentations for prospective merchants.
- Handle negotiations and work toward closing deals successfully.
- Manage the full sales process from lead generation and qualification through onboarding and activation.
- Work with internal teams to support a smooth implementation and onboarding experience.
- Keep CRM entries, pipeline information, and activity reports accurate and up to date.
- Monitor market changes, competitor actions, and merchant preferences to spot new opportunities.
- Consistently meet and exceed individual acquisition and sales goals.
Requirements
- A diploma or bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a similar discipline.
- 1 to 3 years of experience in sales, business development, merchant acquisition, or field sales.
- Fresh graduates may also apply if they have strong communication skills and a genuine interest in sales.
- Comfort with outdoor work and regular in-person merchant visits.
- Strong people skills, negotiation ability, and relationship-building capability.
- Self-driven, resilient, and motivated by targets.
- Clear verbal communication and confident presentation skills.
- Ability to work autonomously while coordinating effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Strong command of English; other languages are useful when engaging varied merchant communities.
- Exposure to payment platforms, POS technology, fintech, or SaaS solutions is an added advantage.

Additional Information
