Job description
About WIT
WIT began in 2014, created by two founders who saw training as more than exercise — it was a way of life, a common ground, and a shared culture. The brand was an early part of the functional fitness movement and grew into a well-known community that connected athletes, brands, and dedicated training enthusiasts.
As training has changed, WIT has evolved with it. Today, it operates as a performance retail brand built for people who train consistently. Its range focuses on the brands and products that genuinely fit how people train, and this position plays a central role in ensuring the buying and merchandising process runs smoothly and accurately.
The Role
This is a hands-on operational position suited to someone who is highly organised. You will be responsible for the daily running of the product lifecycle, from purchase order creation through to product launch. The role requires clean system management, accurate stock movement, and clear communication with the trading team.
You will receive support from the General Manager on buying decisions and collaborate with the marketing and e-commerce teams on product setup and launch. However, the operational details and execution will be your responsibility. The role is based in London, with a hybrid arrangement of three days in the office.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage purchase orders from creation through tracking and follow-up.
- Monitor delivery schedules and compare incoming stock against planned timelines.
- Communicate with brand partners regarding delays, shortages, and order updates.
- Keep buying documents and ERP system records accurate and current.
- Create SKUs and enter product information across ERP and Shopify.
- Check that pricing and product classification are correct before launch.
- Coordinate with the e-commerce team to support product setup, while owning overall accuracy and launch readiness.
- Ensure inbound stock is received correctly and within required timeframes.
- Work with the warehouse partner to resolve receiving issues.
- Investigate and correct discrepancies such as missing items or incorrect SKUs.
- Move stock between warehouse, stores, and events as needed.
- Support allocation planning and product distribution decisions.
- Maintain reliable inventory records across all channels.
- Prepare weekly stock and sales reporting.
- Identify trading risks such as excess inventory, low stock, and assortment gaps.
- Assist with markdown planning and end-of-life product exit strategies.
What We’re Looking For
- Some experience or exposure in retail, buying, or operations.
- Very strong organisation and a meticulous approach to detail, which is essential for this role.
- Confidence working with systems and spreadsheets; Shopify experience would be an advantage.
- The ability to handle several tasks and workstreams at once.
- Real interest in sport, fitness, or the training customer.
Salary
Pay will be based on the candidate’s experience.
