Role Overview
This full-time merchandiser role is based in Bengaluru/Bangalore and is focused on the woven and denim category for kids. The position carries ownership of merchandising activities to help secure the strongest possible product selection. The role also involves shared accountability across development, quoting, and order follow-up activities, aligned to planned goals and timelines.
What You Will Do
- Partner with product merchandisers, the buying office, and other internal teams as a collaborative member of the wider function.
- Handle requests and purchase orders according to company processes, with the aim of achieving favourable deals and timely delivery.
- Work with both internal and external stakeholders, using strong negotiation and clear communication to obtain the best commercial outcome and to track orders through to quality and on-time delivery.
- Understand the buying office priorities and manage work accordingly by planning well, staying organized, and setting the right order of tasks.
Travel Requirement
The role requires travel to suppliers within India.
Experience and Skills
Candidates should bring 4 or more years of experience. Prior exposure to woven and denim merchandise is mandatory, and experience in kidswear is considered an advantage. Strong communication, stakeholder coordination, basic costing knowledge, and advanced Excel use are also important for success in this position.
