Established in 1984, SS Expo (a part of Meesha Group) is a manufacturer and exporter specializing in garments and home textiles. We cater to buyers across Europe, USA, Latin America, and Africa, offering a diverse collection including women's western and ethnic wear such as dresses, co-ord sets, kaftans, and pants, alongside home textile products like terry and bamboo towels.

Job Role

As a merchandiser, you will manage confirmed export orders from receipt through to shipment without day-to-day supervision. While the VP - Sales handles client relationships and negotiations, you are responsible for smooth and timely execution of all order-related activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive confirmed orders and develop Time and Action (TNA) plans, ensuring all milestones are met promptly.
• Coordinate sampling processes including proto, fit, salesman, pre-production (PP), and top of production (TOP) samples, liaising with the sampling team and securing approvals.
• Calculate fabric requirements, prepare indents, manage bookings with mills, and monitor timely deliveries.
• Approve lab dips, strike-offs, handloom trials, and bulk fabric quality.
• Manage sourcing and approval of trims and accessories, ensuring on-time availability.
• Oversee production progress during cutting, stitching, washing, finishing, and packing stages.
• Arrange inline and final quality inspections and implement corrective measures for any quality issues.
• Maintain accurate cost sheets, order sheets, specification sheets, and packing details.
• Collaborate with logistics and Clearing and Forwarding agents (CHA) to plan shipments and handle documentation.
• Provide daily and weekly updates on the status of all active orders.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Minimum 3 to 6 years’ experience as a merchandiser in a garment export house or buying house.
• Extensive knowledge of woven fabrics such as cotton, double gauze, linen, viscose, and Tencel; experience with terry towels is advantageous.
• Confident in calculating fabric consumption and independently preparing cost sheets.
• Experience working with mills, dye houses, job workers, and trim suppliers.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and skilled in maintaining clear, precise documentation.
• Good command of written English, capable of preparing documents for overseas clients.
• Highly organised and persistent, able to manage multiple orders simultaneously without supervision.

Additional Information

Note that negotiations on rates and vendors are finalized by the VP – Sales; your role involves executing and tracking compliance with these approved terms.

Employment Details

Location: Dwarka Sector 15, New Delhi (nearest metro: Dwarka on Blue Line). Employment status: Full-time, working 6 days a week. Monthly salary ranges between ₹25,000 and ₹35,000.
